SendTidings vs Metrics Watch.
Metrics Watch is the closest thing to a kindred spirit in this list: reports built into the body of an email, no PDF attachment, no login. We agree on the delivery and differ on almost everything else, which makes this a more interesting comparison than most.
Your reporting is about marketing channels: ad platforms, social, email tools, alongside Google Analytics and Search Console. You want those pulled into one email with your branding on it, you like the no-dashboard philosophy, and your client count is small enough that paying by report still makes sense.
Your reporting is about the website: traffic, search, uptime, page speed, site health and the enquiries the site produced. You want a flat fee across twenty or seventy-five sites rather than a per-report meter, and a live white-label dashboard alongside the letter for the clients who want to look.

Same delivery, different subject.
We will happily agree with Metrics Watch on the thing most of this industry gets wrong. A PDF attachment is a file somebody has to decide to open, and most clients don’t. Putting the numbers in the body of the email, where the client already is, is simply the right call. If you have been sending PDFs and wondering why nobody mentions them, either of us will fix that for you.
The difference is what the report is about. Metrics Watch is built for marketing reporting, so its strength is breadth across channels: ads, social, email platforms, analytics, pulled into one branded message. SendTidings is built for the website itself, which means the things a web agency gets asked about: is traffic healthy, is search improving, did the contact form actually produce enquiries, is the site up, is the SSL about to expire. Those aren’t marketing channels; they are the site you built and look after.
The other difference is what happens when a client wants to look today. Metrics Watch takes a deliberate position: no dashboards. We think the email is the right default and the dashboard is the useful second half, so clients get a live white-label dashboard on a magic link, no password, for the moments the monthly letter can’t answer. Reasonable people land differently on that one.
Then there is the meter. Paying per report is fine at two or three clients and starts to bite as the list grows: twenty client reports a month sits on the $149 tier, where SendTidings is £29 flat for up to twenty sites. If you report to a handful of clients across many channels, their maths is kinder. If you report to a lot of clients about their websites, ours is.
When the story is the campaigns.
- You report across many marketing channels. Ads, social and email platforms in one message, with unlimited data sources on every tier.
- You have a few clients, not many. At two or three reports a month the entry tier is straightforward, and annual billing takes two months off.
- You want the email and nothing else. No dashboard is a feature if you believe a portal is a distraction, and they commit to it properly.
- You want monitoring alerts too. They sell a separate alerting product for teams that want to be told when a metric moves.

- You build and maintain sites. Uptime, page speed, SSL and site health belong in the report, and a marketing tool won’t carry them.
- You report to a lot of clients. Flat pricing by sites rather than a per-report meter, so the twentieth client doesn’t cost more than the second.
- Enquiries are the point. Call clicks, email clicks, form submissions and purchases, next to the traffic that produced them.
- You want both surfaces. The letter for the client who won’t log in, and a live white-label dashboard for the one who wants to check on a Tuesday.
