Connect UptimeRobot

Connect UptimeRobot once with a read-only API key and pull monitor stats into every site's monthly report. You don't need uptime on every site.

Set up the API key in UptimeRobot

UptimeRobot’s API key sits in your account, not on individual monitors, so you connect it once and SendTidings can pull stats for any monitor you’ve got.

  1. Log into UptimeRobot and open My Settings.
  2. Scroll to the API Settings section.
  3. Generate (or copy) the Main API Key — read-only is fine.

The Main API Key gives access to every monitor on the account. If you only want a subset, use a Monitor-Specific API Key instead. Most agencies just use the main one.

Connect it in SendTidings

  1. In SendTidings, open the Organisation page.
  2. Go to Integrations and find the uptime providers. Pick UptimeRobot (Pulsetic is there too if you use that instead).
  3. Paste the API key and hit Connect.

That’s it for the org. Connect once, and any site can pull from it.

Match a monitor to each site

UptimeRobot doesn’t know which monitor belongs to which client; you tell SendTidings on the site itself.

  • Open the site, go to its Uptime section, open the UptimeRobot tab, and attach the monitor for that site. (Each site has a single monitor; to move it to a different provider, remove the existing one first.)
  • Leave it unset for sites you don’t monitor. The uptime block just won’t render in the report.

Uptime is optional

You don’t need uptime on every site, and you don’t need it at all if analytics and Search Console are doing the job. The monthly report happily ships without it. A static brochure site with no monitor will still get a clean report: the uptime section drops out rather than showing zeros.

Same goes the other way: if a site has uptime but no analytics provider connected, the report still goes out with whatever data you’ve got.
